Black Books

Black Books is a 5-piece band from Austin, TX playing a moody mix of dream pop and southern rock. Though they grew up together, they only started making music as a band last year with their first release, “An Introduction to…” The Austin Chronicle called Black Books one of “Ten Locals To Watch in 2011″ so everyone has high hopes for the next year. Their sound is often compared to My Morning Jacket and Grandaddy but their influences range from The Flaming Lips to Nirvana.
