Lyn Saga writes catchy songs that are sure to get stuck in your head.
Lyn Saga is a pop-rock singer/songwriter who grew up in a small town in New Jersey. She picked up the guitar at the age of 9 and soon started writing songs. Influenced by artists like Weezer, Hole, Oasis, Fountains of Wayne, and the Smashing Pumpkins, Lyn formed a band in high school with friends. Together, they played shows around New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia.
In late 2009, Lyn moved to Los Angeles to pursue music as a solo artist. She recorded rough acoustic recordings of her songs on her laptop and played open mics around Los Angeles. In 2010, Lyn wrote and recorded a 5-song EP entitled ‘The Ball of String EP’ with producer Jim Roach which was independently released in early 2011.
Lyn continues to write and play at traditional music venues, coffee houses, bars, and open air venues in the Los Angeles area. Currently, she is in the studio with producer Evan Brass recording a full-length album which will be released summer 2012.
